The Situation
FAAC is a replacement project that Florida Bulb & Ballast, Inc., worked with the Maintenance Department to provide brighter lighting, increased lumen output, and better quality of light for the Production Control Room and Stairwells. This helps with workers increased productivity and overall happiness on the job.
The Solution
Shelly Cejda of Florida Bulb & Ballast worked with FAAC to establish what products would work for the replacement interior lighting in their new Production Control Room. The client had outdated 8’T12 strip fixtures with (2) F96T12CW lamps. By changing to 6’ LED strips, 80W,11,200 lumen output, 80 CRI, 5000K, the makeover was complete. In the Stairwells, 4’T8 LED-1,800 lumens, 5000k lamps were used, adding emergency LED Back-up Drivers for improved safety.
The Product
Shelly worked with one of our key suppliers, PAQ, LLC, to establish the best LED fixture for the project, choosing Amer Light, LLC. A Satco stairwell fixture was chosen to meet the client’s strict specification for safety and lumen performance for the stairwell application.
The Bottom Line and Green Effect
Using efficient LED fixtures in both the new Production Control Area and the new stairwells, has greatly improved the conditions at FAAC for both employee welfare and safety to increased production in an energy efficient environment.
